It is time to thin the herd. This instrument was manufactured in July 1971 according to serial number. It has only one defect, a very small ding at the 7th fret, probably placed there by the first owner so he could find the 7th fret by feel. Just guessing here. Please look at the pictures closely. I am the second owner, purchasing the instrument to play slide due to the incredible sustain of the RT pickup. My slide technique sounded like screeching cats when I was playing at my best so this instrument has remained in it’s original case for 50 of its 55 years. The guitar body is free from buckle rash and scratches. The original pick guard shows no cracking around the cable jack. The neck shows virtually no wear, string action is low and fast. Tuners still shine like new. The original case shows some wear on corners with assorted nicks and scratches. It is ready to protect this guitar for the next 50 years. I am including a fresh set of elixir strings so you will not have to wait to hear this bad boy ring. You will be hard pressed to find a better, all original, example of this fine guitar.
Let me know if you need more pictures or if I can answer additional questions.
Thanks for looking.
