The proprietary cable used to connect the Yamaha WX5 wind controller directly to the VL70-m virtual acoustic tone generator is officially known as the Yamaha WX Cable (often referred to by users as a 6-pin WX cable).

It is a specialized, all-in-one tether designed specifically to streamline a wind player's setup by carrying multiple signals through a single lightweight cord.

Technical Specifications & Design

• Physical Appearance: It looks very similar to an old-school PS/2 computer keyboard/mouse cable or a standard 6-pin MIDI/data cable, but it features a custom wiring configuration and heavier shielding to withstand movement on stage.
