Yamaha full double horn, Yamano Musical Instruments original 120th anniversary model. Yellow brass, medium throat, detachable bell. Silver plated finish. Rotary cap Gold plated finish. 12.1 mm rotary valve bore. F/Bâ™ switchable. 1-3 rotary rod bearing action. 4th lever adjustable system. Movable finger hook. Manufactured in 2012. Accessories: Hard case
[Condition]
There are some light scratches and small dents, but no noticeable scratches, plating peeling, or dents. It is in very clean condition, showing no signs of its age. Rotary valves have been disassembled, the inside of the tubing cleaned, the rotary rubbers, WK corks, and the #4 rotary valve string replaced. All parts have been serviced.

Based on Yamaha's custom full double horn, the YHR-87D (1992-2014), the YHR-87DBS is a 120th-anniversary limited edition model, meticulously crafted by Yamano Music Wind Crew and Yamaha's technical team.
A major feature unique to this instrument is the silver-plated and gold-plated rotary caps on the bell and body. The silver plating adds density and cohesion to the sound, improving the dynamic range compared to the standard 87D. Furthermore, the gold plating on the rotary caps tightens the sound and provides a clear attack. It offers a stable feel, allowing for confident playing even in large orchestras.
In terms of operation, the fourth lever is adjustable, and the finger hook is also movable, making it a practical design that can be easily adapted to hand size and playing posture. It's easy to handle regardless of physique, and its comfortable feel even during long playing sessions is another attractive feature.
Although manufactured in 2012, this instrument is in excellent condition, showing no signs of its age. It has undergone thorough maintenance, including rotary valve disassembly and cleaning, internal tubing cleaning, and replacement of all soft parts.
With the current successor model, the YHR-871D, priced at over 1 million yen new, and even the mid-range YHR-671D in the 800,000 yen range, this limited edition, in excellent condition, and fully serviced instrument offers a very attractive value price.
This instrument combines the ease of playing of the 87D with a more solid core and presence. It's a full double horn that combines meticulous craftsmanship and practicality, a testament to the collaboration between Yamano Music and Yamaha.
