Here's a vintage "black label" Boss CS-1 Compression Sustainer. This is a highly desirable Made in Japan (MIJ) model from the transitional era (serial dates to June 1981), featuring the black plastic thumb screw combined with the original early circuit design.
The pedal shows very light play wear--pariticularly for its age--with only a few minor nicks/scratches in the otherwise shiny blue paint (see pics).
It functions flawlessly, delivering that signature clear, percussive compression that modern reissue pedals just can't quite replicate.
Retains its vintage ACA power supply specification (12V DC) or a standard 9V battery and includes Includes its original vintage Boss box.
Ready for a serious collector's shelf or a premium vintage pedalboard setup.
