Gibson Chet Atkins CE (Nylon-String)1991 in stock!!

The Gibson Chet Atkins CE is one of Gibson’s most popular electric nylon-string models. Originally introduced in 1982 and produced until around 2006, it remains highly sought after even after its discontinuation.

This particular instrument is a 1991 Chet Atkins CE that retains many features associated with the earlier models, including the Spanish classical guitar-style headstock without the Gibson logo and the two-knob control layout. The top shows attractive weather checking and has developed a beautiful aged patina over the years.

With its narrow 46.5 mm nut width, it offers a familiar playing feel for musicians who are accustomed to steel-string acoustic or electric guitars.

The guitar features a spruce top, mahogany body and neck, and a rosewood fingerboard and bridge. It is equipped with an active pickup system powered by a 9V battery. Controls consist of one Volume and one Tone knob.

Tonally, it delivers the distinctive attack and powerful response for which the Chet Atkins CE is known. Its acoustic volume is relatively quiet, making it ideal for late-night practice sessions as well.

As for condition, there are numerous buckle scratches on the back, but no serious damage. Playability remains excellent.

The thin-body solid chambered construction offers excellent resistance to feedback, while the cutaway design provides easy access to the upper frets. It is especially recommended for players who need authentic nylon-string tones in live band settings and stage performances.

The original Gibson brown hard case shown in the photos is included.
