The time has come to part ways with this beautiful 1978 Fender Jazz Bass. Olympic White was an uncommon finish at the time, compared to the ubiquitous sunbursts and naturals -- and rarer still when paired with the beautifully contrasting rosewood fretboard. This bass has been kept in smoke-free homes and studios.

The original finish has tastefully yellowed into a creamy vintage white, and looks so classy with the chrome pickup covers installed. The topcoat has been worn down to the white along the butt of the instrument, but otherwise very few dings for such an old instrument. Neck is straight, truss rod is in perfect working order, and the big block inlays look stunning against the dark rosewood. Headstock decal is immaculate.

Original pickups and clean electronics. Original tuners and control plate with no rust, putting, or corrosion. The neck is fast, but fairly chunky by Jazz Bass standards. Feels great in the hands. Frets are in great shape with decades of life left in them. Original case is a little beat up and the handle has long since broken off, but the latches all close, and the Fender badge is intact.
