Kosth Vibraphone 208 circa 1960s - 1970s 3 Octaves 4 Mallets

A vintage 3 Octave (37 bars), approximately 60 year old

Kosth Vibraphone, remaining in overall very good condition.

4 mallets are included, as well as a protective cover.

As a keyboardist, I ran across this vibraphone at an estate sale in

the early 1990s, thinking that I'd like to learn how to play; however,

after tapping out "Happy Birthday" twice .. . and realizing that it was

going to be a long adventure to attain some level of proficiency, up it

went into the attic . . . where it since has been stored for over 30 years.

The 37 tone bars, as well as the bar cord, resonator tubes, motor,

rotator fans, sustain/tremolo dampener felt, pedal, rubber tone bar

suspension insulators, etc. all remain in working condition.

This model has 4 speeds . . . which all work; however, please note

that the metallic belt seems to have a lot of slack . . . as seen in

the last photo . . . and may need replacement at some point.

There are a few blemishes on the frame.

This is NOT a portable model, as the Kosth K - series, and cannot

be taken apart for shipping.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a bulky, moderately heavy vibraphone that is

only being offered for LOCAL (around 50 miles) DELIVERY or

MEETUP PICKUP . . . NOT for pickup at the residence.

If a local delivery and you have lots of outside steps, inside stairs, etc.

you will have to have extra help available to help in moving it.

If at a local meetup, I will have it loaded and ratcheted securely in

place in my cargo van, and can help you move it into your vehicle.
