About this guitar:
Weight: 7.7 pounds
This guitar came straight from Squier to my supplier, it has never been sold retail. It was examined and tested by a team of factory certified technicians and no issues were found, the neck is straight and all electronics work as designed. When we polished the guitar we did not find any dings, blemishes or cracks..
Per agreement with Fender/Squier because this guitar was not distributed through their dealer network there is a tiny used stamp on the back of the headstock and the last two digits of the stamped serial number have been removed and a sticker with the serial number has been placed over the stamped number.
Here is what Squier says about the J. Mascis Jazzmaster:
The Jazzmaster is one of those iconic Fender models that has been around for decades. Many of the great players have had a Jazzmaster in their arsenal of guitars. With the J. Mascis model Jazzmaster Squier honors the alt-rock Godfather and Dinosaur Jr leader. The Mascis Jazzmaster delivers as much massive sound and performance as its namesake. The pickups, hardware and finish are all specified by Mascis himself for tremendous tone and value.
The J. Mascis Jazzmaster features a basswood body, C-shaped maple neck, Indian Laurel fingerboard with a 9.5" radius and 21 jumbo frets, two single-coil Jazzmaster pickups with three position switching and dual tone circuits, gold anodized pick guard, aged white plastic parts (knobs, switch tip, pickup covers), Adjusto-Matic bridge with vintage style floating tremolo tailpiece, vintage style tuners, chrome hardware, vintage white finish and J. Mascis signature on the back of the large '60s style headstock.
I remember the original Jazzmaster from my early playing days in the early 60's. I can tell you not all vintage guitars are a great value, the Jazzmaster of yesteryear can't compare with this J. Mascis Jazzmaster. Great playability with great tones, at a great price, what more could you want?

FAQ, frequently asked questions
Why are instruments sent to a refurbisher? The instrument could be a discontinued model, have a finish imperfection, or need a minor repair.
Who refurbishes your instruments? All of my instruments come from the largest and best refurbisher in the country, where any issue found is corrected by a factory trained and authorized technician.
Does a refurbished instrument have the manufacturer warranty? No, any instrument sent to a refurbisher, regardless of the reason it was sent there, no longer carries the manufacturer warranty.
Will I need to set up my instrument when I receive it? All of my instruments have been set-up before shipping, so most are ready to play out of the box. However some instruments may need a minor adjustment after shipping due to changes in temperature, humidity, and getting bumped around during shipping. Also some players like to set up a new guitar to their own personal preferences.
