Vintage Epiphone by Gibson S-310 Stratocaster 1986-1988 - Rare Aged Seafoam Green Metallic with Maple Board

Up for sale is an incredibly unique piece of late-1980s history: a Vintage Epiphone by Gibson S-310 featuring a rare factory Seafoam Green Metallic finish paired with a highly desirable maple neck and contrasting black pickguard.

While most of these late-80s S-series models you see are standard black or red, this one features a gorgeous metallic finish that has aged radically over the last 35+ years. Epiphone's original clear coat naturally ambers and yellows over decades, morphing the underlying Seafoam Green into a killer, unique "Sage / Gold-Green Sparkle" shade depending on how the light hits it. You simply cannot replicate this kind of genuine vintage custom-shop mojo.

For fans of unique vintage imports, this is the highly collectible early-production era. It features the prominent "Epiphone by Gibson" script inlay on the headstock before they dropped the Gibson branding in 1989, paired with the sharp pointy headstock profile that perfectly captures the late-80s aesthetic.

Specs & Features:

  • Era: Circa 1986–1988 (Made in Korea)
  • Finish: Rare Factory Seafoam Green Metallic (Aged to a stunning Gold/Green patina)

  • Headstock: Rare early-generation pointy style with the original "Epiphone by Gibson" script.
  • Pickups: Original trio of crisp, punchy single coil pickups controlled by a 5-way selector switch, 1 Volume, and 2 Tone knobs.

Condition Report: This guitar is in Very Good condition for its age. The rare aged finish looks incredible in person with fantastic natural metallic flake pop. The maple neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the frets show very little wear with plenty of life left in them. The electronics have been tested and run clean through the jack with no scratchy pots or cutting out. Like any genuine vintage instrument, it shows minor signs of careful handling and light surface playing wear on the pickguard, but no major gouges, deep chips, or structural issues. AS DESCRIBED NO RETURNS

(Note: Tremolo arm is included)

Shipping: The guitar will be packed with professional care strings detuned slightly for safety, the neck and body securely padded, and shipped fully insured in a heavy duty guitar box to ensure it arrives exactly as pictured.
