The Deluxe American Standard sits between the regular American Standard and the Strat Plus. It keeps the classic late-’80s American Standard foundation, including the alder body, maple neck, and 2-point tremolo, but adds factory-installed Gold Lace Sensor pickups for a cleaner, quieter single-coil tone. This was a short-lived USA-made Fender model from 1989, with fewer than 400 reportedly made according to the Blue Book of Guitar Values, making all-original examples hard to find.

The guitar shows honest wear for its age. The frets have visible wear but remain playable. There is a finish crack on the lower bout that was sealed with clear poly over 29 years ago and has remained stable ever since, with no structural issues. Overall, a very cool and uncommon late-’80s Fender Stratocaster in a great Pewter finish, with its original case, original tremolo arm, and all original parts.
