Description:
Up for sale is a beautiful 1996 Fender American Standard Stratocaster (N6 serial number prefix) in cream. This guitar offers the incredible playability, comfortable modern "C" neck profile, and classic tones that made the 1990s American Standards legendary workhorses. Aside from a upgrade to premium Sperzel Locking Tuners (which provide great tuning stability and fast string changes), this Strat is completely stock. It features the factory American Standard single-coil pickups and TBX tone control circuit. It looks like one Jeff Beck played a lot, which guarantees you will sound just like him if you buy it.
Condition & Setup:
The guitar is in very good condition and just received a professional setup with a new set of 10s. It plays beautifully with great action and accurate intonation.
- Neck & Frets: The modern "C" neck is straight, the Bi-Flex truss rod works perfectly, and the 22 medium-jumbo frets have plenty of life left.
- Body, Neck & Finish: Excellent condition other than a ding on the front of the guitar a few inches above the bridge. There's a photo of it (2nd to last). Tiny mark at heel also shown (last photo).
- Electronics: All original electronics, pots, and the 5-way switch operate smoothly.
- The back of the headstock features a mostly worn-off original shop sticker from the legendary Matt Umanov Guitars on Bleecker Street in Greenwich Village, NYC.
