For sale is a 2001 Gibson Custom Shop Historic Collection 1958 Les Paul Reissue Authentic (R8), serial number 8 1934.
This is a particularly clean and attractive example from Gibson's highly regarded early Historic Collection era. Featuring a beautifully figured maple top, comfortable 9.0 lb weight, and complete original documentation, it captures everything that has made these early Custom Shop reissues so desirable among players and collectors.
The Authentic Series was Gibson's precursor to later VOS models, featuring lightly aged hardware and a subtly dulled nitrocellulose finish for a naturally broken-in vintage appearance.

Excellent condition for a 25-year-old instrument.
The guitar has been carefully maintained. The neck is straight, frets are in excellent condition, and all electronics function perfectly. The top displays attractive flame figuring across much of its surface and the finish has aged gracefully.
Dunlop Straplocks have been fitted.
No breaks, repairs, headstock repairs, cracks, or structural issues.
