Fender Standard Fat Strat, Arctic White - Used
The Fender Standard Fat Strat is the Mexican-made workhorse Strat with a bridge humbucker for players who want the full classic Strat experience with a little more firepower at the bridge. The alder body, maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, and 2-point tremolo are all pure Stratocaster, and the HSS configuration opens up the tonal range considerably — single-coil clarity in positions three through five, and a full humbucker voice when you need it at position one. This one has been set up by our shop and is shredding. Ready to rock right off the wall.
The previous owner upgraded the neck and middle positions to Seymour Duncan single-coils — the specific models are unconfirmed, but they are Seymour Duncan units and they sound and function cleanly. The original Fender bridge humbucker remains in place. Between the three pickups and the 5-way switch this guitar covers serious tonal ground.
Condition is Very Good. There is a long finish crack on the top of the upper horn — purely cosmetic, no structural concern — along with small dings and nicks in other places consistent with a played instrument. Nothing that affects playability or tone. Check the photos for specifics on the wear. No case included.
A solid, giggable Strat with a practical upgrade already done for you, set up and ready to go.
