Here’s a rare bird in the form of a 2013 Gibson Custom Shop Collector’s Choice limited edition Les Paul. This reproduction is based on the legendary 1960 Burst owned by John Shanks of Bon Jovi fame. Widely regarded as one of the best of the ’59 Burst-era Les Pauls (despite it being a 1960), it has been studied, copied, and reproduced—this being an ultimate example of that recreation.
This guitar was relic’d by the folks at Gibson, so have no fear—no extreme play wear here. It has many years of enjoyment ahead of it before it will be in any need of servicing. Custom humbuckers, and a classic design recreated to bring a legend to collectors and players alike. This is as close as you can get to owning the real thing!
