Offering a vintage 1940's Shure Brothers Model 55 Dynamic Microphone.
This microphone is one of the real true classics when you're thinking of vintage microphones. The 55 series was introduced in 1939, called "Fat Boy", and over the decades, has taken its place in history as the world's most recognized microphone. This model was produced without an onboard on-off switch, so Shure made an accessory switch, which is included in this offering.

This is one of the earlier 55's, specifically designed for broadcasting, and to find one of these in such beautiful shape, especially with clean undamaged original grill cloth, is a rare thing. Testing responds with a good clean signal from all factory-original components. (Check out the voice sample on the listing video.

This sale includes both the short pigtail cable, (3 pin Amphenol to male XLR plug,) plus the gorgeously-chromed "Waterfall-style" desk stand. Total height of this piece is 15", and 6" wide at the base. ** Always fair prices, safe shipping, plus we offer combined shipping when making multiple purchases.**
