This 1965 Sunburst Ventures Model Mark X Bass combines Mosrite's unique offset shape with the easy handling of a short scale. The most attractive feature of this model is the tight, fast-rising low end produced by the uniquely designed single-coil pickups. The bass has a clear, contoured bass and percussive attack that fits a wide range of styles, from surf to rock to alternative.
The slim neck is easy to grip and the short scale provides a soft tension feel, making it comfortable to play either with fingers or pick.
The basswood body has a prominent German Carve, and the maple neck is capped by a bound Brazilian rosewood fretboard. This Ventures Model bass has a bold thump and thick growl via the hotly wound neck position single coil, with a focused punch accentuated by the 45-100 roundwound strings.
