I have a 2024 Paul Reed Smith McCarty 594 Singlecut here with its original factory hard shell case and paperwork. It weighs 8 lb 2 oz.
Conditionally it looks absolutely gorgeous.
The body top shows no buildup of any soft playwear. I did not find any sheen of guitar pick strumming below the pickups. Any superficial swirling will be absolutely minimal. There may be faint traces of it here and there, but no accumulation or buildup. I did not find any singular marks.
The body sides/edges look excellent across the perimeter. I did not find any bumps, dings, or indentations, nor any buildup of soft playwear or swirling.
The body back shows no buckle rash or worming. I did not find any dings or bumps, nor any buildup of lower-intensity pattern playwear. Any superficial traces of use, such as light swirling, will be minimal and scattered. There are no accumulated patterns or concentrated areas of wear. The nitro finish looks lustrous and transparent throughout on this guitar.
The neck shaft contour and the headstock both look excellent with nothing to report. I did not find any dings or bumps. The frets are tall and full showing no pitting or divots. The inlays look great. The setup plays fantastic. The original electronics are working as they should, and the hard shell case is in excellent condition.
This one rates a 9.7/10 and grades as excellent. This is on the higher side of what I typically see conditionally in a used guitar. A rating usually reserved for recently made guitars that have that near-mint, case queen quality to them. It is always a joy to get a guitar in this kind of condition. This one is exceptionally clean.
The 594 bridge has thumb posts directly screwed into the wood. A nod to McCarty era Gibson Les Pauls. It is an school style of guitar build. Some feel that bridge sounds more "woody". This is the PRS take on the golden era late 50s Les Paul with all the PRS appointments and style.
The PRS sound, tonally is bliss. It's a balanced tone in terms of it's EQ of treble, bass and mids, where it is unique is in the subtle detail and complexity of the tone. That is what sets Any truly great guitar apart. And in my opinion that is achieved through the tonewoods, not the electronics. And this is a hallmark of Core USA made Paul Reed Smith guitars.
Note that this listing may come down at anytime as I am a multi-platform seller and do sell locally and on my own Site as well in an effort to keep sales fluid. State sales tax will be charged on Reverb sales when applicable, so factor that in to your purchase.
I will immaculately pack it as well. I use quality shipping boxes, ample tape on all sides. And sufficient bubble wrap filler and bracing inside the box. And always Marked/denoted as fragile. I generally detune guitars 1/2 half step prior to shipment as well if needed.
Thank you for reading and considering!
