Stunning Guitar, Excellent Condition, Great Price
Purchased new in 2024, never gigged, never played other than in my smoke free home office.
Blues guitar has been my obsession for over 60 years. Gibson Les Pauls, the ’59s and later the ‘58s were the center of my universe. That changed when I first tried the PRS McCarty 594. The Les Pauls were sold.
While not nearly as expensive as some of the other guitars I have owned, this is, by far, the one that draws the most attention. As beautiful as it may be to some, what is most notable about it are its incredible range of tones at your fingertips and its easy playability.
PRS is spot on when they advertise “the McCarty 594 as a vintage-inspired instrument that is at once incredibly familiar and effortlessly playable. Whether you are looking for rich, authentic, vintage humbucking tones or nuanced, sweet single-coil sounds, the McCarty 594 can seamlessly master both sonic territories thanks to the 58/15 LT pickups and push/pull coil taps on the tone controls. The electronics layout, a few key specifications, and PRS craftsmanship combine in the McCarty 594 to create an instrument that plays in tune, is intonated the entire length of the neck, and feels like a guitar that you’ve been playing forever.”
The vintage-voiced 58/15LT pickups are great. clean or a little “wet” and yet have enough output and mid-range to keep your tone distinct and articulate when using distortion.
The Pattern Vintage neck with its shaped neck which is slightly thicker from front to back and has an asymmetrical carve that feels perfect in hand. I have medium sized hands and of all the scores of guitars that I have owned, this neck is the most comfortable and easiest to play.

The Overall Condition is excellent but not perfect as I managed to put a small “ding” on one tip of the headstock will make it virtually invisible should you care to.
I have been proud to own this guitar. It expanded my skills, has always been a great pleasure to play and, more importantly, improved the feelings and messages I try to communicate in my music.
At 82, with increasingly severe arthritis, it’s time to pass it on.
I suggest you check out my Reverb page (https://reverb.com/shop/daniels-fine-stringed-instruments-and-accessories) on a LAPTOP OR DESKTOP COMPUTER as you’ll find more information than is revealed on a mobile device like a phone or iPad .
