For sale: A 1975 Traynor YGL 3 Mark III, sometimes called "The Twin Killer." It's a 100-watt, 2x12 combo amp with two channels (clean and bright) that each have a three-band EQ and treble boost - just like a Fender Twin Reverb. It also has a legendary reverb tank and tremolo control. Everything is tube powered - see the schematic attached.

This was professionally serviced by John Blick in Milwaukee when I bought it and John replaced the speakers when the old ones blew out a few years ago. Now there are now 2 Eminence Legend 12" speakers in there (each rated for 75 watts - more than enough capacity for the amp). I have receipts of service that I'll physically deliver with the amp (happy to message them to you before, as well). Honestly, I wish I could keep this amp. For the past few years I've mostly run electric piano through it, but I've played it with synths, guitars, and drum machines and it all sounds great. I highly recommend this work horse.

For those that don't know much about Traynor as a brand, they were a Canadian company from the 1960s that handmade amps, point-to-point, after designs by Marshall and Fender. They essentially made artisanal, and more affordable, versions of those industrially produced products. From what I understand, most of the amps from the 60s and 70s were hand built by the owner-operator, Pete Traynor. The quality of these amps is truly astounding and they are beloved by many.

Think about it this way, a Fender Twin from this period would cost $1300. This Traynor is a sweet deal. **Price Reduced. Pull up.**
