The MXR M251 FOD Drive is an analog overdrive and distortion pedal that packs a dual-amplifier setup into a standard MXR enclosure. It replicates the studio technique of running a punchy, mid-focused crunch amplifier side-by-side with a heavily saturated, mid-scooped high-gain amplifier.
The pedal is heavily based on the architecture of the limited-edition MXR Dookie Drive (which replicates Billie Joe Armstrong's modified Marshall Super Lead heads used on Green Day's Dookie album), but features a modified, more versatile mid-range control.
