Jeff Henry “Guitar” kit build

This is a J-45 kit build from StewMac. It is a fantastic sounding and playing guitar that is closely based on the vintage Gibson J-45. I built and finished the guitar and am very pleased with the results. I have over thirty years are experience building and repairing acoustic guitars, including many Gibson J models. My own guitars, Jeff Henry guitars, sell for more than double what I am asking for this instrument. My guitars are not cheap, and I wanted to offer an instrument that is of high quality at a lower price point.

The original J45's of the 1940s and 1950s are considered the "Golden Era" for these incredible instruments—making the handful of these vintage examples extremely coveted, incredibly expensive, and hard to find. And locating one that has been well maintained and does not need complicated and costly repair work is a daunting challenge.

You no longer have to wait to find "a good one". This is it! It has an incredibly warm bass response, remarkable projection, and easy playability making it unrivaled for vocal accompaniment.

This guitar has a baked Adirondack top, Honduran Mahogany back and sides, Madagascar Rosewood fretboard and bridge, Mahogany neck, two way adjustable truss road, tortoise pickguard, with vintage correct teardrop shape, and vintage style nickel tuning machine . Nut width is 1 11/16” and string spacing at the saddle is 2 1/8”.

There are a couple of very light finish scratches on the top. The only one that would show up in a photo is listed above.

The finish is a classic Gibson tobacco burst. Comes with a hardshell case.
