Collings C10-35 Custom made in Austin, Texas in 2021. Serial number 27379.
I love black guitars and I love Collings instruments. I first played a C-10 probably 20 years ago at Rudy's music in NY and was mesmerized by the small size and articulate projection of such a refined instrument. Here we have an iteration of the instrument with a gloss black top and Mahogany back and sides. The guitar is appointed with a simple single ply binding on the back and top, and fire-stripe vintage style pickguard as well as a small Rosewood bridge. The fingerboard has graduated fret markers on Wenge and the headstock has the signature asymmetrical profile.
Additionally the guitar has an internal pickup ported to a 1/4" jack at the endpin with a volume control mounted on the bass side of the sound hole.
The guitar is in excellent playable condition and is bright and dynamic with good separation between strings. There are a few dents on top but the rest of the guitar is pretty clean for the exception of residue from being played. Included with the sale is the original hard shell case with plush green lining.
