This is the Tama Star Series Solid Maple Snare Drum 6x14, in Natural Oil Maple finish that is in excellent condition. I am the original owner of this unit and it has been gently used and cared for, it has never been used to gig. It has a naturally warm woody controlled sound and covers the spectrum really well from low to high. At high tuning, it has a very nice pleasing crack. The woody characteristics is attributed to the solid maple and the controlled sound is a result of the die cast rims. It sounds and feels good to play. Just an overall top quality product that stands out amongst others. I like to play along to jazz and reggae music. For jazz, you can go with high tuning typical for the genre or lower for a more woody sound. For reggae, it has a very nice rim shot that compliments the genre. Again, overall a very nice and versatile drum from Tama’s top of the line Star series. Will ship in original packaging.
