This is an amazing Vibrolux from a Local Studio, and was one of their Recording Favorites for obvious Reasons . It has the Vibe & Tone that we all search for.
CONDITION: Overall is Very Good Condition, it played amazing as soon as we plugged it in. Cosmetically it has the typical wear on the Tolex and a few worn spots on the Grill Cloth, all acceptable Patina for a 60 plus year old Vintage Amp. This has that Vintage look of an incredible Amp it it does not disappoint when you plug it in. This Amp has been well cared for and it shows in looks and Performance. Our Shop Amp Guru CJ has completely gone through it from front to Back and it is just in optimum performance. Both Transformers are Original, the Speakers are correct and only a handful of changes since new. The Footswitch is also Original.
TUBE LAYOUT: This Fender Vibrolux Reverb amplifier uses a total of nine tubes: two 6L6GC power tubes, one 5AR4 rectifier tube, four 7025 (equivalent to 12AX7) preamp tubes, and two 12AT7 driver/phase inverter tubes. All Tubes Present are "NOS" RCA period correct tubes including the Power and Rectifier Tubes ,one of the peramp Tube was changed to a UK one, it sounded amazing so we left it for obvioous reasons.

HISTORY:
The 1964/65 Fender Vibrolux Reverb is a pivotal "Blackface" era amp that replaced the earlier "Brownface" version, offering 35 watts of power through two 6L6 tubes and 2x10" speakers. It's known for a dreamy, early-breakup overdrive, versatile tube-driven reverb and tremolo, and two channels with "Bright" switches, making it popular for club gigs and recording.
FEATURES:
- Era: As a "pre-CBS" black panel amp, the 1964 model has a "Fender Electric Instrument Company" label and is prized for its legendary tone.
- Power: It is rated at 35 watts and runs on two 6L6 tubes in the power section.
- Speakers: It is equipped with two 10-inch speakers, which contribute to a tight, responsive sound and allow for an earlier breakup compared to higher-powered Fender amps of the time.
- Circuitry: The handwired, all-tube circuitry of the black panel era is known for its clarity and legendary tone.
- Bias: It features a fixed-bias circuit with a bias adjustment pot.
- Rectifier: The amp uses a GZ34 rectifier tube.
- Construction: The cabinet is covered in black Tolex with a silver-threaded grille cloth, consistent with the black panel cosmetic style.
