Early five-digit Selmer Mark VI alto with matching serial number neck shows in photos. This is one of the earliest Mark VI production ranges and a desirable era among players and collectors.
The horn is being sold as-is. It is currently playable and has a great feel and sound, but would benefit from a professional setup/service to reach its full potential. I’m leaving that decision to the next owner so they can preserve or service it to their preference.
The instrument retains significant original finish and patina, with honest cosmetic wear consistent with age. Engraving is present and the horn has strong vintage character.
No relacquer. Matching serial neck included.
A great opportunity for a player or collector looking for an early Mark VI with originality intact rather than an over-restored example.
