Vintage Correct Parts is proud to offer, for your consideration,
A fantastic
Vintage early 70's (1971 / 1972) Gibson Les Paul Custom in it's original black finish!
This is a great player's Black Beauty!
The finish on this amazing LPC is original throughout with no overspray, cracks, breaks or repairs. It's incredibly clean with only very mild finish checking and minor signs of playwear. This Les Paul was made just after the "late sixties" period that saw Gibson re-introduce the now legendary Gibson Les Paul Standards and Customs. The quality on these early 70's models is very high and they have become very sought after.
As pictured, the serial number reads: 922621 which dates this to either 1971 or 1972. It has the early 70's "Small Volute" as well as the "Made In The USA" stamp. There was a previous coil-tap switch installed in between the volume and tone controls. This has been capped off with a grommet, as pictured.
The parts on this guitar are reproduction, but of the finest quality. The pickups are an excellent sounding set of matched Seymour Duncan Seth Lover PAFs . The pots are new premium CTS 550k, Switchcraft jack and switch and Centralab Bumblebee PIO .022mfd tone caps. The best of the best.
This example has it's original "fretless wonder" frets. The frets do show noticeable wear but still play evenly.
This is a great chance to get into a golden-era Les Paul for a fantastic price. The woods are the premium OLD Gibson tone woods - the good stuff which will never return to modern electric guitar production. Priced at far below 50% of an all original example, this is a great vintage value!
This fantastic vintage Gibson ships in it's original black tolex / purple plush lined hard case with the Gibson logo embossed on the exterior.
Don't miss this one!
