Serial number: 2069287 - hot branded on interior at neck block. Metal strap button added at Gruhn guitars when i purchased it from George in 2016. Cosmetically and structurally in fine condition. Has a few light marks at string ports on headstock created while stringing. it has virtually unnoticeable perspiration mark where your arm drapes over the body while playing. it has a white mark on binding caused at a guitar shop while getting it strung, shown in pic (knew i should’nt have taken it there). It has a 0000-size flattop body, Adirondak spruce top with Golden Era X-bracing and natural top finish, Sinker mahogany neck, neck block, back and sides, tortoiseshell grain pick guard, multi-ply white and black soundhole rosette, lower belly style ebony bridge with compensated “drop in style” saddle and black bridge pins, Indian rosewood peg head overlay, ebony heel cap, slotted peg head, gold color CF Martin decal, nickel plated open back Martin tuners, 1 13/16 nut width, 20 fret ebony fingerboard with 12 frets clear of body, mother of pearl slotted diamond fingerboard inlay, multi ply black binding on top with single ply on back and other typical 18 style appointments. The case is Geib-style hard shell with burgundy plush lining.

I bought this guitar from George Gruhn new in 2016. I played it around the house and in some jam sessions. The neck is wide for me because i play a D-28 and a D-18. It makes switching guitars not that easy. The guitar is awesome In looks and sound. It has a big booming sound but can be played any way you want, rhythm style, flat pick And I would imagine finger picking. The little white mark on the binding (shown in pic #4) happened when i had it strung at a shop. I have no idea what it is. it is virtually unnoticeable. It was recommended from Gruhn that I put ej-17 medium Strings which is what came on it. I recently put martin lights on it. I prefer the ej-17’s. So it has had three sets of strings put on it in almost ten years. I showed a photo of the guitar sitting next to my D-28 for size comparison. Overall, this guitar is virtually new.
