Pristine Vintage 1930s Gibson L-30 Pre War Archtop – Rare Original Black Finish
Price: $2,500.00
(Market Value Reference: A museum-quality example recently sold at Chicago Music Exchange for $3,795.00).
Up for sale is an exceptionally well-preserved 1930s Gibson L-30 acoustic archtop in collector-grade condition. This 14 ¾-inch wide Depression-era model features a carved spruce top with dual F-holes and a flat, braced back, delivering a stunning, punchy mid-range projection highly sought after by collectors, blues players, and jazz guitarists alike. Made between 1935 and 1936.
Condition & Authentication:
Original Factory Black Finish: This rare, highly coveted finish has been fully verified under a blacklight test, confirming it is 100% authentic with no overspray or touch-ups.
Cosmetic Condition: Exceptionally clean for its age, showing very few cosmetic flaws. It retains its brilliant vintage luster.
Neck, Frets & Truss: The neck is perfectly straight, and the adjustable truss rod is fully functional. Incredibly, the original frets show zero wear, offering a fresh, crisp playing experience.
Hardware: Comes equipped with its original, smoothly functioning friction tuners, original bridge, and nickel trapeze tailpiece.
Pricing & Maintenance Notes:
While a pristine, museum-quality version of this guitar fetches $3,795.00 on the market (as seen at Chicago Music Exchange), this collector-grade piece is priced at a firm $2,500.00 to account for two factors:
Loose Brace: The guitar currently has one loose internal brace. It is structurally sound everywhere else, making this a simple, straightforward reglue for any qualified luthier.
No Case: This listing is for the guitar only.
This is a rare opportunity to own a highly collectible, black-finish pre-war Gibson at a fraction of its top-market value.
Shipping & Checkout Notes:
Packing: The guitar will be meticulously padded, double-boxed, and securely packed to ensure absolutely safe transit.
