I purchased this Firebird from Jim Lehman owner of Guitar Resurrection in Austin, Tx around 1994. Jim informed me that the guitar was originally owned by Jeff Leary of the Butthole Surfers. Jeff can be seen playing this Firebird during their 1991 Lalapalooza tour. See Youtube link below. There is an older headstock repair from around 1996 and is as solid as a rock, otherwise the guitar is in very good condition for its age (35 years) The pickups are Mojotone Johnny Winter Signature model pickups(Johnny worked with Mojotone on the design and tone of these pickups). Jeff Leary can be seen in the You Tube starting at approx. 1:04 playing this very guitar. Includes original Gibson Firebird case.
