Iconic bit of kit. 70s tape machine, with almost brand new tape.
The TEAC A-3340S is a 4-track semi-professional reel-to-reel tape recorder that emerged in the mid-1970s. It is celebrated for its versatility, functioning effectively as both a recording and playback system. This model is particularly noted for its Simul-Sync recording technology, which enables musicians to overdub tracks in perfect synchronization.
Fully working condition, the only reason I haven't listed it as 'excellent' is because of the surface level scratches and markings which don't affect its functionality at all! There are scratched which you can see in the photos, and marks on the back. Please take a good look at the photos. I have tried to take photos of the inside through the grille at the back, and you can see that the electrics and metal are in good condition.
The tape reels, tape and NAB adapters on there are from RTM (purchased at Thomann) and are mostly clean and unused except for certain bits of recording which have gone onto them. So there is plenty of clean tape to use, and you can always buy more!
If it's going into a pro studio, you may want to get it serviced, however if you're just looking to use it like an effects unit to send drums etc to for warmth and saturation, then this is good to go baby.
Sold as collection only due to the weight and difficulty of posting.
Collection from South London (Bromley / Beckenham area, BR3 3AX).
