Sweet Sound Mojo Vibe – MINT Swirl Finish (2012) w/ Original Box & Manual!

We are incredibly proud to offer this fantastic piece of boutique pedal history, the exceptional Mojo Vibe by Sweet Sound Electronics, featuring the beautiful swirl finish. 

The Sweet Sound Mojo Vibe is widely considered one of the absolute best photocell Uni-Vibe clones ever made. What elevates your specific pedal is the swirl finish. The vast majority of Mojo Vibes were housed in standard purple or black enclosures; the swirl enclosures were produced in much smaller numbers and are highly sought after by collectors. 

I originally purchased this unit back in 2012 from Harbor Music in Redondo Beach, CA—an independent guitar shop owned by an incredibly insightful and honest boutique pedal seller and collector. It has been meticulously cared for ever since.

THE HISTORY & LEGACY

Sweet Sound Electronics, founded by the late Bob Sweet, created some of the most authentic and highly regarded Uni-Vibe clones in the boutique pedal world. Bob sadly passed away from cancer in October 2008, but his family heroically continued building his pedals until roughly 2020. Because production has now completely ceased, these pedals have become highly sought-after artifacts.

As Analogman himself noted in his review: "Praised by pros and semi pros alike for [its] authentic 'Vintage Uni-Vibe' sound, the Ultra Vibe has been known as 'the one to own'. And now the Mojo Vibe picks up where the Ultra Vibe left off. At half the size... and weight of the original Ultra Vibe, the Mojo Vibe will leave you with more real-estate on your pedalboard than any other true vibe effect available. So if you want simply the best vintage Uni-Vibe sounding pedal available, then look no further than the Mojo Vibe."

THE CIRCUIT & FEATURES

This isn't just a visually stunning pedal; the internal circuitry was designed for ultimate tone and flexibility. According to the original Sweet Sound manual:

  • The Mojo Vibe contains an active, internally switchable Field Effect Transistor input buffer.
  • An internal DIP switch allows you to toggle between modes: The modern setting will allow more highs to pass through the Mojo Vibe, which will produce a brighter sound. Alternatively, the vintage setting is more like the warm sound of the original 60's Uni-Vibe.
  • The trim pot next to the DIP switch is an adjustment for the brightness of the bulb, which dictates the intensity of the "throb".
  • It features a Pedal input used for an optional speed pedal controller.
  • The Mojo Vibe IS true bypass.
  • The 9 volts DC is converted to 18 volts internally and is optimized for the high performance of the Mojo Vibe.
  • Pedal Dimensions - 4.660 wide x 4.230 deep.

CONDITION & INCLUSIONS

This pedal is in pristine working order, sounds absolutely massive, and features a gorgeous blue/purple/black swirl finish that stands out on any board. This listing includes the original box (hand-labeled "Mojo Vibe Swirl") and the original Sweet Sound printed user guide.
