Vintage 1960's Astatic F-11 Chrome microphone cable adapter for D104, 77L, DR10, DNHZ, etc... # 2

         Hello and welcome to The House of Chrome.

 You are looking at an older Astatic model F-11 microphone / stand adapter that comes with a very short cable and male XLR type end connector. The F-11 was sold by Astatic from the late 1940's and into the 1970's before being discontinued and was suitable for several Astatic model microphones such as the D104, DN50, DN500, 77L, K2, T3, WR20 & WR40 to name a few.

 This unique F-11 adapter allows you to use most older Astatic microphones due to the different 3 pin design this company was using from the 1930's to the 1970's. The F-11 is made from solid brass with a beautiful polished chrome finish.

 Pics # 8 shows an Astatic 77L model mic on top of this F-11 adapter to show you how the adapter works with the Astatic microphone though the microphone is not included.

 This adapter is intended to be screwed onto and desk or floor stand of choice. Once attached you could use your Astatic mic. This adapter ONLY works with Astatic models due to it's unique design. This cannot be used with Shure or Electro Voice mics.

 The chrome finish on the F-11 is darn near perfect with zero dent's or corrosion. The F-11's cable itself is soft, pliable and works perfectly. The cable and adapter is properly wired and grounded so you won't have any issues. Many of these older F-11 adapters need service as the wiring is not properly grounded or even connected which causes unwanted feedback such as buzzing and humming. You'll get many good years out of this adapter.

 It has the standard male Switchcraft XLR end connector which is quite practical really because you'll be able to attach any longer XLR cable of choice as an extension. Trust me...you'll appreciate the flexibility this XLR end connector gives you.
