Warmoth Variax 500 early 2000s - Walnut

This is a unique and beautiful guitar. It is essentially a Line6 Variax 500 BUT with a Warmoth solid walnut, book matched body and birds-eye maple neck. There are no fret makers on the fingerboard (only on the top side facing the player). That combined with the Variax piezo pickups tucked under the bridge give the guitar and very clean look, I have added locking tuners for tuning stability and ease of string change. I always liked the flexibility of the Variax 500 electronics but did not like the look of the Line6 guitar. Hence the full Warmoth treatment.

I have included a few screen shots of the app used to set up the electronics (laptop NOT included in this sale). The app can be downloaded from the Line6 website. There are 10 emulated guitar types to choose from including electrics, acoustics (6 or 12 string), resophonics with five variations of each type. In addition, there are 10 used defined models. The app provides a lot of flexibility: put any pickup on any guitar, or move the position of each pickup. Note the fingerboard graphic on the bottom of the screen in the last couple of pics. Any string can be modified up or down within an octave range so that any alternate tuning can be made to be available from the guitar with a flip of a switch.

I have also included all of the cabling and power supplies you will need. The final picture in this ad shows, from left to right, a TRS cable that can be used to power the guitar externally, a AA battery case that can be used instead of a 9 volt in the guitar battery compartment for longer battery life, the 120V power AC/DC, a small power supply suitable for mounting on a pedalboard with 1/4" TRS in, 1/4" out, a larger format power supply that also provides an XLR out, and finally, the USB interface to your laptop computer to be used for setup.
