Up for sale is a matched set of genuine Gibson Murphy Lab Custombucker humbuckers removed from a high-end Gibson Murphy Labs 1964 Reissue ES-335. These are the coveted Ultra Light Aged versions designed to capture the response, feel, and harmonic complexity of late-50s / early-60s PAF pickups.
These pickups were professionally removed only because the guitar was upgraded with a 1/1000 “1959 Humbucker Collector’s Edition“ set immediately after purchase, meaning they are essentially unused. In direct comparison with these limited edition Gibson originals, the Custombuckers came remarkably close in character — warm, articulate, airy, and extremely dynamic with that unmistakable vintage Gibson bloom.
If you’re chasing authentic ES-335 / vintage Gibson tone without spending five figures on original PAFs, these are about as close as modern Gibson has come.

Excellent used condition with light aging from factory Murphy Lab treatment. Fully functional and sounding incredible. Zero playing wear, as the guitar in it’s original condition was played perhaps five times before the pickup swap.
