Welcome to Vintage Emporium! You're looking at a Fender Custom Shop 62 Stratocaster Heavy Relic in Violin Burst finish built in 2009. This guitar features a heavy relic to the Violin Burst finish as well as the back of the maple neck. This guitar features a 60s oval C neck profile which is amongst Fender's most popular neck carves. The finish is reliced and feels wonderful in hand allowing you to glide up and down with zero limitations. With what are likely 6105 that have hardly ever been touched and a 9.5" neck radius, this guitar plays very well. The action is good. The truss rod is working as well as all electronics. This guitar is from before the shop traveler was introduced, so I'm describing the specs with my years of experience with Fender Custom Shop instruments. With Fender Custom Shop 60s pickups, this guitar has a glassy and familiar 60s tone. Very smooth and perfect for SRV, Hendrix, Knopfler, or any of your favorite 60s strat tones.This guitar was professionally setup with Ernie Ball Regular Slinky .10-.46 gauge strings. This guitar weighs in at 7 lbs. 5 oz. Very nice lightweight and resonant guitar. Does the reliced finish have something to do with that? You be the judge.

This guitar is in mint condition. The relicing was all done at the factory and it was not played by its original owner. Comes in original brown Fender hardcase with all case candy including Certificate of Authenticity.
