This is without a doubt one of the coolest refinished 50's Fender Stratocasters we have come across. It was made in the USA in 1957. We are not sure when the refin was done, but certainly decades ago as it has a wonderful worn and checked natural patina and at first glance looks completely authentic. The finish on the neck is either worn away or removed, although there does seem to be some original finish left on the back of the neck, as well as some overspray, and the decal is not original. This guitar is very original with the possible exception of the neck pickup which is either rewound or replaced (upon inspection it appears noticeably cleaner than the other two). That pickup aside, everything is is original including all electronics, hardware, and plastic parts. Only the trem arm is newer, and it has been refretted. The guitar weighs 7 pounds 7 ounces. It is a fantastic playing and sounding instrument. It has been pro-setup in our store and plays great. It comes with the original tweed hard case.
