This is a curious amp, but I’ve connected enough of the dots with the help of the fine folks at Revered Guitars and Joe Naylor himself to know that it is indeed a prototype of the Electra-Verb 60. The chassis shows it was built in Eastpointe Michigan and features initials from Joe Naylor, wiring tech Robin Groening, and Guy Hedrick, who engineered the reverb amp circuits for Naylor. Please see the email from Joe to confirm all of this.
The cabinet is a newer one from the Dallas Naylor operation. I bought this amp from a guy I played with in Kansas City who said he had the original head cabinet, but got tired of carrying a head and cabinet, so he ordered a newer 2x10 cabinet from Naylor and put the original chassis in it. I do not have the original head cabinet.
This is an amazing amp—my all-time favorite. Alas, as is always the case, times are tough and I need to let it go. That said, it’s a truly special and rare amp, and I am pricing it accordingly. I also have other gear listed, and if that sells first I intend to keep this. It is an amazing specimen and a cool piece of Naylor history. thanks for looking!
