This 1992 Herb Ellis ES-165 is a formidable jazz box with deep body resonance and mellow tone. Equipped with a 490R, it offers plenty of sound with a nice comfortable neck profile. It features an interesting factory "happy accident" as the headstock logo was placed atop a finished over inlaid Gibson Crown head stock. The inlaid logo and crown have shrunk over time revealing their silhouette beneath the Herb Ellis and Gibson silk screens. Otherwise, it remains in excellent condition cosmetically.
