The HD 598 SE is an open-back headphone from Sennheiser's mid-range lineup — neutral, detailed, and with a wider soundstage than you'd expect at this price. I've had these for about 10 years and they've held up well.
Used them for music listening and basic mixing. The open-back design makes them easy to listen to for long sessions, and honestly they're some of the most comfortable headphones I've owned — the velour ear pads and light clamping force make them easy to forget you're wearing. The spacious sound is a big part of what makes them enjoyable to listen to. Easy to drive from a phone or computer, though they respond well to an amp if you have one.
Cosmetically in good shape for their age — minimal wear overall. Ear pads have some light use on them but are still comfortable. They've been stored in a carrying case. Includes both original cables (3m with 6.3mm plug and 1.2m with 3.5mm plug).
