Early big-box, "FIlter" control RAT with all the glory that goes with it. Well used, and though the enclosure has its share of wear, it is intact and sounds amazing. These older versions have a wonderful, warm overdrive response when the Distortion control is turned way down. Overall there is tons of available volume and gain here, and a warmth (compared to modern versions) that can't be beat.

Comes with a new (open box) official SS-RatPower adapter.

Few things to know: First, it was a thing at some time to add an effects loop to these. I don't know why, but it looks like this one had that done, or at least an attempt at it. There are holes on either side of the enclosure. I have actually restored a couple of these to stock that had this done in the past. The loop wiring in this one had already been removed and original wiring restored, so I just had to put flat black plastic plugs in the holes. Second, there are a couple of small holes on the bottom, which usually were there to mount this to a board so it could not easily be removed. I put plugs in those as well. Finally, the original feet had been removed and what looks like carpet foam tape had been put on the bottom. A previous owner then pulled some of that up to expose the production number. All the inside parts are original, and I secured the battery holder (these often get loose and damaged over time) and put in some new battery foam.
