MIJ "black screw" Boss CS-1. These are fantastic opto-compressors, extremely popular for steel guitar and with folks (like me) who understand how to use them. These have a very specific sound, which is exactly why people like me love them (I've owned several over the years, and still do) but some folks are like wttffffff?! I personally find the movement of these pedals so, like . . . human? Feels really "ghost in the machine"-like to me, I love them

Great for soloing, great for "chicken-pickin'," super cool AFTER a looper on low settings—makes your playing and the loop below it "breathe" in and out of each other (which is how I've always used them).

This one was already converted to standard 9v PSA by the fine folks at Alchemy Audio. Only caveat here is that the little grommet on the front is a bit busted (see final two pics) but that doesn't affect performance whatsoever.
