YAMAHA CS-5
The Yamaha CS-5 is a classic monophonic analog synthesizer produced between 1978 and 1983. As the most compact model in Yamaha's original "CS" analog line, it is prized for its warm, gritty, and unique character despite its deceptively simple, single-oscillator design.
All the electrolytic capacitors have been swapped out. Every pot has been cleaned.
She does have a few scratches
And for fun I replaced the red lights with a bright green. As well the output in the back is now “stereo” not true stereo but sound comes out on left and right.
Hours have been spent cleaning and refinishing the synth. You will need to let her warm up a little bit. She does have a few quirks, but that’s to come with a synthesizer this old.
The bass is insane and gritty. It’s an absolute beast and sounds insane when run through affects, especially some granular guitar pedals.
The price is pretty much firm though I will think on offers if they’re not too insane. It is sold as is and I will not do any exchanges or returns or refunds or none of that. Once you purchased it it’s yours to keep forever.
