The Suzuki QC-1, also known as the QChord, is a digital musical instrument introduced in 1999 as a modern evolution of the Omnichord. It features a touch-sensitive strum plate with a 4-octave range, 36 soft-touch chord buttons offering 84 chord combinations (Major, Minor, 7th, etc.), and a built-in rhythm section with 10 onboard styles (Rock, Country, Waltz, etc.), expandable via optional cartridges.
It includes 100 General MIDI voices for both strum plate and melody keyboard, and offers effects like reverb, chorus, vibrato (all with adjustable depth), and a pitch bend wheel. The unit has a 4-channel accompaniment system (Drums, Bass, Chord, Chord Plus) with individual volume controls, and supports MIDI In/Out for external connectivity.
The QC-1 can be powered by 8 "C" batteries or an AC adapter, and includes a 7-watt amplifier with a 5" oval speaker. It also features a QCard slot for optional song and rhythm cartridges, an LCD display, and controls for transpose, tuning, and octave shift.
