Another rebuild ready to go: this is a 1966 Kalamazoo KG-2, made by Gibson in some town in Michigan.
It’s had the full rebuild treatment - refret, bone nut, vintage Japanese pickups (‘60s Givtone goldfoil that I rewound and ‘70s Maxon humbucker), TonePros wrap bridge, handmade tort guard, and premium electronics (500k CTS pots / Switchcraft 3 way and jack). Someone sprayed a decent white finish over the original blue, which has aged nicely over the years.
This has the late ‘60s Gibson neck profile - it’s slim and narrow at the nut. The body, neck, tuners, neck plate, and truss rod cover are original. This model originally had a trem, those holes have been covered with a rosewood plate and hand cut gold aluminum L logo.
It plays great, the neck is dead straight after the refret process, and you get classic goldfoil and PAF tones with a cool sound in the middle position. No gig bag but will be packed carefully for shipping.
