1980 Tokai Springy Sound ST80 Sunburst ST'54 OHSC Japan Vintage

The decal on the head has been removed, but it is definitely an ST80.
Although Tokai Gakki was founded in 1947, they were a newcomer to the electric guitar market, launching their first electric guitar in November 1977. However, as a latecomer to the electric guitar market, Tokai produced instruments with a very high degree of perfection, in response to market demands and with respect to the production of the instruments themselves, while keeping an eye on other manufacturers. In 1984, Tokai lost a lawsuit filed by Fender in the U.S., who accused Tokai of selling copied products. Ironically, this case proved how accurate Tokai's Fender copies were, and the company was highly praised by users not only in Japan but also overseas. The model was also used by John Mayor, which further spurred the market to soar. This 1980 ST80 SPRINGY SOUND is the top model among the Stratocaster copy models released at the time, with a V-shaped one-piece maple neck and Sen body. The V-shape one-piece maple neck and body are made of very dry and super light sen, and the ultra-thin paint that allows the grain of the wood to show through also brings out the best of the material. The sound is full and rich with overtones, and while it is a vintage instrument, it is a Stratocaster type that can be used for any performance.
