A prototype of the already discontinued and "unreleased" BSRI CFZ, it could be said the inspiration for it, the Haunting Mids v5 is a thick, almost hybrid fuzz... It can do everything from splatty garage tone bender to thick beefy fuzz face muff and HM-2 black metal chainsaw. It's controls were designed for maximum tweakage, and the few that have had the fortune of experiencing this pedal have compared it's nuanced tune-ability to pedals such as the Fuzz Factory.

• Level - Sets the output volume of the effect. Unity is around 9:00. Ample boost is available as you turn the dial clockwise.
• Limit - Sets the amount of compression in the clipping circuit by altering the threshold at which the signal gets topped off.
• Texture - Sets the bias of a portion of the circuit and, as a result, affects gain and overall feel.
• Filter - Sets the cutoff of a low pass filter for rolling off highs at the end of the circuit.
• Contour - Sets the amount of midrange between 700 Hz and 1000 Hz via an adjustable notch filter.
• Density - Sets the amount of low frequency between the preamp and the clipping amplifier.
