Set of vintage early 2000's custom hand wound Lindy Fralin Vintage Hot Humbucker pickups. They were removed from a 2004 Premium Series Tokai Love Rock model Les Paul style guitar. The covers have beautifully aged naturally over time and the pickups look and sound amazing. They are in very good to excellent condition for aged relic parts. Seymour Duncan offers the Antiquity line which are some of their best sounding and most historically accurate vintage pickups. They are factory hand aged both visually and magnetically to mimic and simulate a sweetened and broken in vintage tone from decades of playing. These Lindy Fralin Humbuckers are somewhat similar to the Seymour Duncan Antiquities in their resistance values and in the sense that they look and sound "older" and more "vintage". They are however extremely different than Antiquities in that they have much more clarity and certainly sound a little hotter. Antiquities have a softer rounder sound that some call "wooly" or "chewy" while the Fralins are "tight" and "articulate". I have had and played quite a few humbucker guitars over the years and these are honestly some of the best sounding humbuckers I’ve ever heard. They are perfect for any aged relic style guitar that has an HH pickup configuration. The neck pickup originally read 8.5k when new and now after degaussing for a couple decades reads 7.75k. The bridge pickup reading when new was 9k and now reads 8.5k. Each pickup has appx 11 inches of lead wire. The pickup covers are a long/tall style cover Fralin was using at the time to be even more historically faithful to the original PAF humbuckers. These pickups have vintage-correct deep-foot baseplates and tall covers. Please ensure your guitar routing accommodates deep vintage style humbucker cavities. Includes the original mounting screws and springs as shown in the photos. Email any questions. Will ship to the lower 48 States ONLY!! THANKS!!

Additional Info:

-Lindy Fralin's humbuckers with “Long Tall” covers and DC resistance specs of 8.5k (neck) and 9.0k (bridge) are likely a custom-wound variation of his Pure P.A.F.s or the Vintage/Hot series tailored for a taller, wider aesthetic.

-An 8.5k reading in the neck sits right in the Hot / Overwound PAF territory. It delivers a warm, fat tone with exceptional clarity and a thick midrange compared to lower output vintage 7.5k options.

-9.0k Bridge: A 9.0k bridge pickup is a classic "Blues Special" or Modern spec. It provides a muscular, punchy midrange and rounds out the harsher top-end typically found in standard bridge humbuckers.
