For sale is a Michael Kelly MK-AO oval-hole A-style mandolin in a beautiful gloss sunburst finish. This is a visually striking A-style mandolin with ornate appointments, a rich red-to-black sunburst, decorative headstock inlay, abalone-style rosette, bound body, bound fingerboard, block fingerboard inlays, gold hardware, white pearloid tuner buttons, adjustable bridge, and Michael Kelly-branded tailpiece.
This mandolin has recently been taken to a certified luthier for service and setup work. The luthier checked the instrument’s settings, replaced the nut, and planed/polished the frets, and installed new D’addario strings improving playability and overall performance.
The instrument has a bright, clear voice with strong projection and a rich tone suitable for a wide range of styles, including bluegrass, folk, classical, Celtic, Americana, and general acoustic ensemble playing. The oval-hole design gives it a warm, rounded character while still offering clarity and presence.

Condition is Very Good overall. The mandolin presents beautifully, with a glossy finish and attractive figure visible through the sunburst. There are normal light surface marks, minor handling wear, consistent with age and use.
