Up for sale is an original, matched set of Gibson Burstbucker 1 (Neck) and Burstbucker 2 (Bridge) humbuckers pulled from a 2009 Gibson Custom Shop guitar. Unlike the standard production-line Burstbuckers, this specific Custom Shop set is factory UNPOTTED (no wax potting), offering the true, legitimate PAF tone: highly dynamic, woody, open, and rich in tridimensional harmonic overtones.
Specs & Details:
Origin: Gibson Custom Shop (2009).
Covers: Original Raw Nickel covers. They feature a beautiful, authentic light patina developed naturally over the last 17 years.
Magnets: Alnico 2 with historically accurate asymmetrical/mismatched coils.
Wiring: Vintage braided single-conductor wire.
Potting: Factory UNPOTTED (true vintage specs for maximum clarity and air).
Lead Wire Length: Plenty of length left for a clean, drop-in installation.
DC Resistance (Readings): Neck (BB1): 7.7kOhms / Bridge (BB2): 8.2k Ohms.
Both pickups are in perfect working condition, fully tested, and sound phenomenal—outstanding string definition, rich mids, and excellent volume pot cleanup.
