Unused, like new Dimarzio DP701 Black Seven-String Single Coil for sale. I got this new and never got around to installing it. I had intended to route out my seven string for a middle pickup to go for an Ibanez Universe vibe, but wound up selling the guitar before I had a chance. As such, the pickup is still in new condition, and as pictured, the pickup hasn't ever been fully removed from it's protective foam and plastic. The pickup's wiring leads haven't ever been soldered to anything and are still at factory length and wrapped around the pickup underneath the foam in the case.

I've misplaced the top of the rectangular plastic outer case (see photos) and the included Dimarzio wiring diagram, so the top part of the case and wiring diagram will not be included in the purchase. You can find Dimarzio's wiring diagrams on their website, however.

This is a great USA made pickup that's wound to be a little under 14k ohm resistance; it's wired a fair bit punchier than your average 6-string strat single coil in order to retain clarity and punchiness on the low 7th string while keeping the higher strings full and even sounding. I use Dimarzio pickups in multiple of my guitars, you really can't go wrong with them, no matter what genre you play. The Dimarzio Blaze DP701 is the middle pickup that Steve Vai uses in his Ibanez Universe 7 strings if you're looking for an idea of how this pickup sounds - i've also linked a high-fidelity gear review video from Youtube below.
